What is LocalBuzz?

LocalBuzz is a lab project by Intuity focused on playing with geolocation features of modern browsers.

In ancient times local news were shared at places like markets etc. This way people stayed up to date to topics that were important to them in a hyperlocal context.

LocalBuzz is an approach to mimic this behaviour and augment it with modern technology. Just like the markets in ancient times it's giving you access to local news (in this case twitter messages) that might be relevant as they're related to your city, to your block.

Augmented local buzz

Access local news from anywhere with no effort via your phone. Filter it to stay up to date with local events and trends. Make new friends easily by discovering people in your neighborhood that are interested in the same topics as you are.

Start LocalBuzz

System Requirements - LocalBuzz currently runs on

_ Android Browser (with Google Gears enabled to access your Geolocation)
_ Firefox 3.5 (with Wifi access to access your Geolocation)
