Seems like Amazon did their homework and finally realized that design matters. The new Kindle got a product design update.
The new design – very applesque
A lot of design details seem to be influenced by products designed in California. By the way, the new design is much thinner than the old one, even thinner than an iPhone.
The new functions
The Kindle 2 is also packed with some additional functionality. It now has the ability to read books to you and the quality of its display has been improved to enable sharper graphics and illustrations.
Not the big surprise but constant advancement
So it’s not the huge step forward but the kindle has undergone a well thought design iteration. Interesting to follow its evolution. So I guess it’s time to make it available outside the U.S.
