Check out thestoryofstuff.com created by free range studios to see a great example of interactive storytelling. What I like about the intro is the focus on the main storyline. It’s always visible and clickable in the background. Sometimes it’s even integrated into the subchapters told at the front and sometimes it just gives you the big picture. It also enables you to experience the story in a non-linear way by clicking the chapters while you’re listening to the story.

Every interface tells a story

I think you can learn a lot from this little gem. Every application, interface or interaction that you design tells a story. Find that story and stick to it.
