While Motorola are primarily known for their private telecommunication business, they also provide comprehensive multimedia infrastructures to corporate clients. Intuity were given the task of applying Motorola’s new visual identity to the business clients’ website. They are the first international client in Intuity’s portfolio.

Task
Apart from marketing mobile phones, Motorola also supports large corporations, public authorities and organisations with comprehensive multi-media communication infrastructures. In 2003, as Intuity began its working relationship with Motorola, both Corporate Design and distribution strategy were changed and adapted to the highly competitive market. It was our task to apply the new identity to Motorola’s new website for business clients.
Solution
Together with our technical partner Das Büro am Draht (NextAt), we analysed the existing online style guide for consistency, taking into account the specific needs of business clients. We looked at previous problems associated with the partly implemented Content Management System, defined a new workflow and scrutinised artwork and existing license agreements. At the same time we developed concepts for the websites and web specials.

Despite initial teething problems (Motorola contracted a new lead agency to revise the Corporate Vision and online style guide) we were gradually able to implement our concepts. With the additional help of a status quo report and desktop sharing tools, we achieved an excellent workflow.
Result
In cooperation with our partner agency Das Büro am Draht, we were able to strengthen the Motorola brand with a consistent visual appearance in digital media. At the same time, we laid the foundations for the first Interaction Patterns and a more dynamic Motorola website.
