We’re very proud to announce that ComfyLight finally landed on Kickstarter today. For the last months we had the pleasure to work with the Munich based startup.
ComfyLight is a smart LED light bulb that is also a home security system. It learns your everyday movement behaviour and if nobody is home ComfyLight simulates presence by switching on and off in a natural rhythm.
Since the light bulb has Wifi, a brightness and motion sensor built in, the learning process works completely automatically – no manual setup required. You simply replace your regular light bulb with ComfyLight, install the Comfy App and you’re good to go.
ComfyLight started as a research project of Stefanie Turber and Marcus Köhler at the Bosch Internet of Things and Services Lab which is part of the University St. Gallen. Last year they founded the startup. Since then, they took place in the incubator program Startup Bootcamp in Amsterdam. They won quite a few awards and were recently awarded with the CES Innovation Award 2016.
If you want to get on board, now is the time: Starting today you can order ComfyLight through their Kickstarter campaign and get an exclusive 55% discount.
