Curious about the state of the art in metrology systems, colleagues from Intuity visited the world’s leading trade fair for quality assurance. Our clients, the Carl ZEISS Industrial Metrology definitely set the benchmark once again. With the launch of the new ZEISS XENOS they present a high-end machine pushing the boundaries of technical feasibility. zeiss_xenos_01 Image: Carl ZEISS Amazing cool is BOSCHs APAS family. A new serie of automatic production assistants, which will be populating the ecosystem of factories in the near future. Taken up the cause of digital fabrication, BOSCH aims to enable products, allowing people and machines to share the same workspace in a safe manner, while communicating and interacting in a much more intensive and close way. We like that kind of thinking. Image: ceasiamag With products like GOOGLEs Project Tango and the Kinect at the back of our mind, we payed a visit at FARO exhibition stand. Wow! The new generation of FAROs 3D-laser scanners is the benchmark for indoor and outdoor applications in this sector. The laser generates full colored point clouds of buildings and objects. Uploading the scan data via SCENE Webshare Cloud, a FARO webservice, enables a truly mobile scanning solution. Animation studios as well as building companies benefit from this system.
