Guidebook Digital Transformation

What opportunities and challenges does the digital transformation present us with? What kind of future do we want to shape? What is a good life in an interconnected world? How can we make sensible decisions? The co-founder Steffen Süpple has teamed up with philosopher Hauke Behrendt to consider these questions more closely.

Since our launch fifteen years ago, we’ve been focusing on the tension created by the various opportunities arising out of the use of new technologies and on the unarticulated needs inherent within us human beings. Because it’s these things that are the stuff of the future. Big Data and recurrent neuronal networks are on the threshold of mass application. Data and machine learning will change our living environments. With CRISPR/Cas we hold in our hands a Lego kit for genetic modification. These developments are not to be viewed in isolation but are instead spurring each other on. We are poised to move on to the “second half of the chessboard”. The speed with which technical possibilities are evolving has dramatically increased, much faster than the explorations of the needs of human beings.

PLAYTIME, a piece of art created by our colleague Valentin Fischer on the cover, invites us to a critical reflection – What kind of future do we want to shape? What is a good life in an interconnected world? How can we make sensible decisions? Our co-founder and Intuity partner Steffen Süpple has teamed up with philosopher Hauke Behrendt to consider these questions more closely. The authors provide guidance on how to navigate the change in the form of a small booklet, which also introduces tools that help us at Intuity deal productively with the challenges of our time.
